Training
Do you have a young horse that needs to be started under-saddle, or a particular problem that’s out of your skillset to solve? Or, do you just want your riding horse to learn new things? We offer a broad range of training opportunities to help your horse get the education he or she needs. We use gentle, yet steadily progressive techniques that promote confident learning and understanding of how to yield to pressure appropriately.
A good general rule of thumb for unstarted young horses is to plan for a 6-week baseline, and for problem solving or already-started horses with some experience, 2-4 weeks to begin. Extremity of issue, fitness of the horse, and prior ground handling can all affect the length of time a horse needs to develop well.

Cost: $200/week, includes stall board, 5-6 sessions each week, and a weekly lesson with horse and owner with Fran.
$150/week includes pasture board (Only available May-October), 5-6 sessions each week, and a weekly lesson with horse and owner with Fran.
