LILLICREST FARM

Instruction

Whether you are new to owning a horse, or ready to start competing, LilliCrest Farm can help! All good horsemanship shares a common foundation, so no matter what discipline, English or Western, competitive or pleasure, the principles and building blocks look the same.  Once you’ve achieved a solid foundation and have reliable communication with your horse, then we can put icing on the cake and look at the specifics of whatever it is that you dream of doing together with your equine partner! Here are the education formats we offer.

-Perfect if you like one-on-one interaction with your instructor, have a specific problem, or are new to riding.

-Great for a group of friends, 4-Hers, or riders with common goals or similar horses.

-Perfect for a short, topic-specific study for a group.  Saddle fit questions? All want to learn to jump? Learn the next level in your ground work? This is the option for you. Minimum of 4 riders required to qualify.

-Do you need help that is: topic specific, experience-level specific, or just looking for focused learning experience?  Arrange a clinic.  Minimum 4 riders required to qualify.

-Includes board for one horse, and an hour-long lesson a day for 5 days. Sit down with Fran one-on-one and discuss goals, subject matter, and focus for your personalized week of education.

-Available on a limited basis, please book at least 60 days in advance. On-site accommodations available on a limited basis for an additional fee.

*Please inquire about our 'locals only' 4-H and Pony Club discounts.

Working Student Positions:  We sometimes have availability for a working student. Generally speaking, this is an unpaid position   that includes board for one horse, a weekly lesson, and a place to stay, plus lots of hands-on experience around the farm. Must be 18 years of age or older, able to lift 50lbs, and handle horses of all ages and experiences levels confidently.  EXTREMELY limited.
